After undergoing a cosmetic nose surgery:

  • You may eat normally.
  • It is advisable to sleep with your head elevated to reduce inflammation.
  • A rigid plastic splint will be left on the nose for 6-10 days, which is the minimum period of rest you should have.
  • Bruising around the eyes is possible and will disappear in approximately 8 days.
  • Skin-colored strips will be placed on the nose for about three weeks, in order to reduce inflammation and maintain the shape of the nose.

Línea de tiempo de recuperación: en la primera semana se presenta el máximo edema (hinchazón) con la férula colocada; entre el día 7 y 10 se retira la férula; durante la semana 3 y 4 se resuelve aproximadamente el 70% de la inflamación; entre los 3 y 6 meses puede persistir un edema residual en la punta nasal; el resultado final se aprecia a los 12 meses.

Cuidados adicionales: evita la exposición solar directa durante 3 meses, no uses lentes de armazón entre 6 y 8 semanas, evita actividad física intensa durante 4 semanas, no te suenes la nariz con fuerza durante 3 a 4 semanas, aplica hielo envuelto en tela durante las primeras 48 horas, acude a tus citas de seguimiento y mantente en contacto por WhatsApp ante cualquier duda.

La recuperación visible es de 10 a 14 días, tiempo suficiente para regresar al trabajo de oficina o clases. Los resultados definitivos se consolidan a los 12 meses, cuando el edema residual en la punta nasal desaparece completamente.

Sí. En la consulta de valoración el Dr. Fernández realiza una simulación digital (morfing fotográfico) para que puedas ver una aproximación del resultado esperado antes de tomar cualquier decisión.

La molestia postoperatoria es manejable con analgésicos orales. La mayoría de pacientes describe más incomodidad que dolor, principalmente sensación de congestión y presión nasal. El dolor intenso es poco frecuente.

Sí. Frecuentemente se combina con mentoplastia (implante de mentón) para mejorar el perfil, o con blefaroplastia para un rejuvenecimiento facial integral. El Dr. Fernández evalúa la seguridad de las combinaciones en cada caso.

En rinoplastia abierta, la pequeña cicatriz en la columela es prácticamente imperceptible a los 6-12 meses. En rinoplastia cerrada y de preservación no hay cicatrices externas visibles.

Se recomienda esperar a los 18 años, cuando el desarrollo nasal está completo. En casos de desviación de tabique con afectación funcional severa, se puede considerar antes con evaluación individualizada.

Sí. Los cambios estructurales en el hueso y el cartílago son permanentes. El envejecimiento natural puede generar cambios menores con el tiempo, pero el resultado quirúrgico es duradero.

Tipos de Rinoplastia que Realiza el Dr. Fernández

El Dr. Oscar Fernández selecciona la técnica más adecuada para cada paciente según la anatomía nasal, los objetivos estéticos y la función respiratoria:

Rinoplastia Abierta

Indicada cuando se requieren cambios estructurales significativos en la punta nasal o el tabique. Se realiza una pequeña incisión en la columela (la piel entre los orificios nasales) que permite acceso completo al esqueleto nasal. La cicatriz es prácticamente imperceptible a los 6-12 meses.

Rinoplastia Cerrada (Endonasal)

Todas las incisiones se realizan dentro de los orificios nasales, sin cicatriz visible externa. Ideal para correcciones moderadas del dorso nasal o reducción de la giba. Menor edema postoperatorio y recuperación más rápida.

Rinoplastia de Preservación

Técnica avanzada que preserva los tejidos naturales de la nariz en lugar de resecarlos. Resultados más naturales, menor edema prolongado y mayor durabilidad. El Dr. Fernández es uno de los pocos cirujanos en Guadalajara entrenados en esta técnica de última generación.

Rinoplastia Secundaria (de Revisión)

Para pacientes que han tenido una cirugía previa y desean corregir o mejorar resultados. Requiere mayor experiencia técnica por la presencia de cicatrices y cambios en los tejidos. El Dr. Fernández cuenta con amplia experiencia en rinoplastias de revisión.

Septorrinoplastia
